The brake fluid should be replaced every two years as it absorbs moisture, which lowers the fluid's boiling point, resulting in a diminished braking effect.

Check the brake fluid level from time to time, it should be at the max mark. If it is not, there is a leak in the brake system or the brake pads are worn.
