Common theory questions

Why should you test the brakes after you have washed the car?

It is important to always test the brakes after they have been exposed to moisture, for example after you have washed the car or driven through a deep puddle of water, because moisture diminishes the braking effect. When you brake, heat is developed which causes the moisture to dry.

Always test the brakes at low speeds.
