Common theory questions

How much weight must the load securing on a trailer be able to withstand?

The load securing (for example, tensioning straps and planks) must withstand 80% of the weight load forwards and half the weight load backwards and sideways.

If you carry metal pipes weighing 140 kg on the trailer this means that the load securing must withstand the pressure of 112 kg forwards (140 × 0,8 = 112) and 70 kg backwards and sideways (140 × 0,5 =70).
